My Choice

When I interviewed Judy Bodnar this week, it was obvious to see the questions that still remain from a decade ago.

At 84, her mom was critically injured when she was hit by a car while crossing the street, and Judy and her brothers and sisters had to decide on the best end-of-life choices for their mom. Even 11 years later, Judy still isn’t sure if they made the right choices, the ones her mom would have wanted.

Ohio City Farm

I think more and more people are reading the labels on produce at the grocery store  …

I like to buy products grown in the United States, not only because it is a boost to our economy, but also because I know it was grown relatively close to home. And produce that is grown locally (like the tomatoes in my backyard) or the corn from a local farmers market — well, that’s even better!

Alternative Energy Source is a Breeze

Some 250,000 motorists who drive on I-480 every day get a unique view of a company that has REALLY gone green, or white, depending on how you look at it. A white, 178-foot-tall wind turbine stands on a hill overlooking the highway in Cleveland. The turbine’s owner, Pearl Road Auto Parts, is the first in Northeast Ohio to have a wind turbine connected to the electric grid. The owners of the company, who are harnessing wind to generate their own electricity, are hoping it will save them 75 percent on their massive electric bill.
